Sorry Man utd fans, but in my opinion your team are miles away from getting back any consistency they had, they are a mere shadow of teams you once had.Nothing scares me on the teams that are being put out and I think that's exactly what the other teams think who they play.
Will it take much to make you the force the worlds best teams once feared,i really think its a huge task |

I think the era of Alex Ferguson is gone and it will be years of rebuilding before Man Utd ever come back to the top, it happens to Liverpool, Leeds, Arsenal, etc in the past, think they will be lucky to win a trophy this season but it's nice to have a different winner.
This is from a Newcastle fan here |

I think this is the first ever Man U team, which I dont look at and think 'I wish he was in my team'.
I think Ferguson is much to blame for leaving a crock of shit for his successors. |

Man Utd smashed Arsenal around this time two years ago. Look at the team that did that to Arsenal!
Gary Neville said it right that no one was taking responsibility and taking the initiative. No overlapping down the wings, no urgency and no tempo. |

Defo with current squad aren't capable of challenging for a title, I don't think they're too many players short now though.
3 more players, including Di Maria, bit of confidence and I think they'll be ok. Di Maria, midfielder and defender and they'll he cool.
Plus I think Strootman will be joining in jan when he's fit.
They have to get more than just Di Maria though. |

to think that 1 "di maria" is worth 4 "balotelli's"
I don't know if real madrid have shafted man u big time... or liverpool have gotten the bargin of a lifetime.....
I wish arsenal would have gone in... because in todays day and age... 16 million pound "risk" is one I would have taken....

A crock of shit that won the premiership just a few months before the new manager came in? They obviously wasn't that past it if they won the premiership. I think the fact they are doing so crap is that they don't have that moron Alex ferguson in charge anymore. It's a well known fact refs let the man utd players get away with so much and who can forget the classic keep playing until we win extra time they always seemed to accumulate. The premiership is so much better with Alex ferguson being involved. Now all they need to do is sort out the cheating divers and get rid of that Jose mournihno idiot and football might be worth watching |

Not sure if utd that poor or other teams have moved on. Football goes in cycles like life. Think city and Chelsea will control the league . Utd need 6 top players at least |

All era's come to an end.
Chelsea and Man City will rule for the next 10yrs or so.
Man Utd will be back when the Glazers sell them on.
They're going to keep milking the golden cow though before they do sell though. |

utd will take 10 yrs to rebuild the whole thing and will get through 6 managers in this time ,they got no chance and they will pay over the odds for players fellani, mata,de maria, etc etc not up to the task and im a utd fan sorry days ahead |

Gary Neville got it right when he said for years Man utd have always been about pace on the wings, back since the days of Lee Sharpe, Andrei Kanchelskis, Ryan giggs, etc, and that now seems to be lacking. Ashley Young is a crock of shite, he should be the 1st one out the door.
Also need a quality defender to replace Ferdinand.

I'll go against the grain here. It's confidence and two more signings (as well as Di Maria). Vidal (or Strootman) and Benatia would be ideal.
Van Gaal is as good as they come and he'll get it right. I watched every minute of pre season and you can see what he's trying to do. Injuries are against him right now, but I am more hopeful now than I have been for months. |

Ah, yes, but he won the PL, crucially by playing two forty-odd year old's at crucial times in the game!!
Not exactly foreword thinking nor leaving anything other than the crock of shit hereby mentioned.
He must have known that he was retiring along with Scholes & Giggs, after all!! |

"maybe they're concentrating on the league this season..yeah staying in it "
as a red from the western end of the 62 I think they will be mid to upper mid table..
they can chuck nigh on 60 mil on one player but they need a bit of a revamp in several areas..
its all cyclical and what goes up must come down etc..

From The Telegraph ....
After the £59.7m signing of Angel di Maria, Manchester United have now spent £213.7m on eight transfers since the start of last year. So far none of the players has greatly excelled - four are yet to make their debut for the club - having combined to make only 35 starts in all competitions and score only seven goals in that time.
Money well spent |

BOGOF deals galore.
I wonder how much the level of wages these guys get prohibits the sale of them to a lesser club?
Mind you, it was reported the other day that Man Utd were not prepared to let anyone leave to a top 6 club. Why ver not?
