I really like her but the price put me off attending.
I think she's as good as the Florence girl from the machine and much better than the likes of Lilly Allen and co so I think if she did some new material is should do well. |

I looked at the price and decided I wouldn't be able to persuade anyone to go with me. |

"Her first concert in 35 years is coming up.
I've got BBC4 on at the moment looking at her early stuff but can she offer something new. Or anything as good?
"
Thanks for letting me know, I'm enjoying the Bush as I type this. |

"Beautiful voice.. Unique musical talent
To write the way she did at fourteen is outstanding.
"
I think she was 18
Out on the wiley, windy moors
We'd roll and fall in green
You had a temper like my jealousy
Too hot, too greedy
How could you leave me
When I needed to possess you?
I hated you. I loved you, too
Bad dreams in the night
They told me I was going to lose the fight
Leave behind my wuthering, wuthering
Wuthering heights
Heathcliff, it's me Cathy
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window
Heathcliff, it's me Cathy
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window
Ooh, it gets dark! it gets lonely
On the other side from you
I pine a lot. I find the lot
Falls through without you
I'm coming back, love
Cruel Heathcliff, my one dream
My only master
Too long I roam in the night
I'm coming back to his side, to put it right
I'm coming home to wuthering, wuthering
Wuthering heights
Heathcliff, it's me Cathy
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window
Heathcliff, it's me Cathy
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window
Ooh! let me have it
Let me grab your soul away
Ooh! let me have it
Let me grab your soul away
You know it's me Cathy!

I like most of her stuff from the 80s and I don't mind the high pitched vocals as its defined and not just screeching like Florence and the Machine. When I hear Florence I can imagine my hands around her throat begging her to stop lol

Bet she had a gool ole bush on her back in the day.
Whilst i can admire talent such as hers, i cant stand most of her theatrical screaching.
The Man With The Child In His Eyes was perhaps bearable. Was she singing about a different haeth Cliff? |

"I think shes a bit silly and pretentious, a couple of her songs are ok though."
I think most teenagers are silly and pretentious for a while. Her fame has continued beyond her teenage years, and we are still listening to her songs, because she has a talent that touched so many of us. She wasn't manufactured.

I know what you're saying, but she's from an era that was silly and pretentious - end of 70's glam rock into 80's new romantics. I loved her studio albums, because her voice was more restrained, but still quite wild. Her live stuff, however, really was howlingly bad most of the time - she never captured the "studio sound" on stage. Very talented writer as well. |

In any genre of music there is always the early stage, when it's in fashion, when snobs of the genre look down their noses on any stuff which is 'pretentious' or 'too experimental'. As time passes, and each genre falls out of fashion, we're left picking up the pieces of what was good and what was bad. Kate Bush made some incredible music and some awful music imo. It is a shame that people feel that music which is complex, has depth and meaning to it, and tackles interesting subjects in interesting new musical ways is dismissed as 'pretentious' by some people. I guess it's just pearls for swine lol
In the end I think Kate Bush didn't have a genre, couldn't care two hoots about genres, and was simply trying to make the best music she could. In an age saturated with a million and one different genres... this resonates deeply with me. That's why, when people ask me what kind of music I make, I feel the most honest answer is "music music" |

I didn't think of wailing Wuthering Heights in my dress. I will have to do it.

Gorgeous woman, had my attention as a teenager ... But awful sound, squeeling cat came to mind .. I am sure she is musically perfection ... Lovely lady, sexy too, just don't ask her to sing. |
