Just noticed there a new series of Most Haunted on TV.
Never sure how genuine these "Ghost Hunt" shows are but got me thinking about the shadowy figure that walked through my bedroom when I was a kid.
Maybe I dreamt it.
Anyone convinced that they have seen something strange. (Plenty of scope for a gag there) |

Not seen anything strange and I'm the biggest cynic out there, but I'm convinced I had an out of body experience once when I was about 13 or 14.
I was literally flying around outside and away from my house as I slept, I could sense the wind and cold and tried to wake myself but physically couldn't until I was sucked back into my body at great speed - then I could wake up.
Can't really describe it very well here but it was more than just a vivid dream, it was so real. And never experienced anything like it since. |

You should read Nobody True by James Herbert. I think there might be a film on the way based in the book |

It's called Astral Projection or Astral Plane Experience. |

Definitely had something similar myself. On the ghosts front... I've had several experiences, spirits talking to me, presences felt in a room, turning very cold suddenly then just as suddenly returning to normal like something had just passed through me, and the spirits of little children holding my hands in a park I used to walk through. I wouldn't ever stand up and try and 'prove' all these things as they were just things I felt we're going on... things I sensed. But there was a certain reality to them or else I wouldn't have mentioned them
Mrs P grew up in a haunted house and actually saw some crazy shit so she's much more scared of it all than me. I'm more curious and philosophical about it. I don't believe in life after death in the usual sense so these spirits are real curiosities to me. I suspect it's something to do with multiple dimensions rather than anything else |

it could just be a glitch in the program |

We've experienced masses and masses of odd and unexplainable things. We honestly wouldn't know where to begin! In our old place odd occurences were a daily thing. We'd see people walking about where there were none, we've had weird flying bits of light, all nine of our Cats reacting quite violently to something that we can't see but they can. All nine of them were tracking the same thing.
We've had locked cupboards open up, lights go on and off, and plenty more besides.
We've had lots of experiences and out about too. Definitely turned us from open minded to believers!
We like the parallel universe theory too. Definitely something "more" going on that what we're all aware! |

Shit I hope you don't accommodate lol
Still I guess multiple blow jobs are easier if your head is rotating around and around to the sound of Carmina Burana lol |

I do believe (have seen too much not to) but I've never been a fan of Most Haunted.
When I first heard about Most Haunted, I thought it was going to be a thought-provoking documentary, instead it just comes across as a badly-acted attempt at trying to make you jump every 5mins. |

Im still flabbergasted with how frightened the ghost hunters used to get, lots of screams etc, when next to nothing ever happened. Yvette, I think her name was, used to ham it up rotten. Done week after week, when no one was ever harmed (apart from Derek Acorah's reputation) it showed that it was just set up and stage managed nonsense. Not seen a ghost, believe we die and thats it, |

My sister practices Reiki and claims she's able to talk to the other side. (Well sometimes she can)
She often tell me about relatives that have died including our dad.
I know she would not bullshit me about that but until I experience something like that myself I struggle to believe it

I've had several 'experiences' in my present house and in a couple of friend's houses too. I also believe I had an out of body experience whilst asleep at a friend's when I was about 16. As I recall, I was walking down some outside steps of her house and thinking that I should be in bed asleep, and at that the moment, my body lurched in the bed. It was so vivid that I still remember it to this day, nearly 30 years later. I've also had some dreams that have come true, i.e. the space shuttle Challenger exploding before it happened... , as well some of no consequence involving friends...
There has to be something in the paranormal, but whether every 'sighting' is a true apparition, or just a 'recording' within the atmosphere; or some are 'all in the mind' or some are hoaxes, we'll never know until it's proven one way or the other. |

Hi Portia So lovely to bump into someone who shares some of my weird and weirder experiences in life. Would be great to ponder on it all over a pint some time
When I was young I had the same dream over and over again. I would find myself in a strange city, would realise I was dreaming, so would go exploring the various streets. After having this dream many times I had a good mental map of the main features and layout of the city. 10 years after having these dreams I suddenly found myself in this city for real... same layout... same features. It was a city I'd never been to before so it really shook my world view. It was Leningrad
Since then I've grown more and more convinced that life is a dream. A bit whacky, I know, but for me it all adds up |

When I lived in Northampton, many moons ago, I was a Special Constable and me and my mate visited two security guards at the Centre there. As we sat chatting, one of the guards said 'here she comes, the white lady'. A white mist appeared at the door. I was sitting with the railing to my right and as she passed by me on my right, she flicked my ear and my hair moved. It is said that many moons ago when she was alive, she committed suicide before the when the Centre was just a theatre.
Also, when my mother moved to a maisonette outside London, I was living in London and would spend the weekend there. Every time I slept there, I had nightmares. My mother didn't. It wasn't until she moved, she told me that a man had died there some years before and hadn't been found for three days. |

Most Haunted is faked and plays to all the stereotypes. If you put people in a dark room and tell them something creepy will happen every creaking floor board will be a ghost.
I used to chat to a guy who cleaned my work place some mornings, I hadn't seen him for a couple of weeks then one day I saw him cycling home and the following morning standing in reception and I said "good morning". I mentioned this to a colleague wondering if he'd been off sick. She replied that I must have been mistaken as he died six weeks previously.
Things like that happen to me a lot I don't have an explanation. I think it might have something to do with us not understanding time and the way it works. |

Exactly. A dark house, cooling at night, creaks and bumps. Must be a ghost!
It's good as a piece of entertainment as long as you realise it's just that - entertainment!
For all you need to know about Most Haunted / Derek Acorah Google "Derek Acorah Kreed Kafer" |

I've had too many experiences to list but the thing that always strikes me is I'm never scared. When things happen they seem normal, sights, voices, being touched, they just happen then after I think oh that was strange. Certainly no screaming anyway
