You will find sympathy in the dictionary. It's between shit and syphillis.

Omeprazole or similar is what's usually used with it.

Really? I think your Dr should review it because its so notorious for causing stomach ulcers that it should be prescribed with a stomach protector or not taken at all,Naproxen is the drug of choice in its place now where I work

I wouldn't normally interfere but the last thing you need is a stomach ulcer xx

When I was off work for 3 months earlier this year, I had tests for gout, turned out it's psoriatic arthritis. I have Colchicine for when I have flare ups, but they are not very effective

I have another appointment with the specialist next month.

Anyway Karen (((HUGS))) xxx

I was taking Diclofenac for years for Arthritis for years until 4 months ago when my GP changed it to Co-Codamol. This is because Diclofenac has become a "no-no" drug, as it causes other problems incl ulcers and GP's have been told to stop prescribing it.

The Co-Codamol works for me. There is also Naproxen which is very good too, but you generally have to take a supplement tablet beforehand to stop stomach upsets (1 a day) like Lansaprozole.

I have gone thru Gout myself albeit a few years ago; you have my sympathy and I wish you well in your recovery.
