I lost 3 stone a few years ago after having my 3rd child, through diet and exercise but when i went back to work i put it all back on and more. So ive decided its time to something about it....more for the fact that the disc problem in my back is playing up at the mo than for vanity reasons. Anyway...ive started on shakes as i find they work best for me and ive bought a 2 in 1 cross trainer/bike to use at home, as between shift work and family stuff I have very little free time to get to the gym these days.
Just wondered if anyone has any experience of using fat burners? I have no idea about them really have just seen them advertised and wondered if they would be of any benefit? And if anyone has used them with positive results...any recommendations? Thanks |

As a man that's lost 5 stone through careful eating and exercise. I will pass on the advice I was given by a very respected trainer at my gym.
Forget the 'fat burner' products, they're a concoction of chemicals which pretty much do nothing to 'burn' said fat. They're a marketing gimmick that health food companies use to part you with your hard earned cash.
My regime consists of 4-6 well thought out and planned small meals a day. Coupled with 2 hours of gym work, a mixture of resistance and cardio.
I understand that not everyone has the time to spend 2 hours in a gym so consider walking somewhere when you'd normally drive. Small changes can lead to excellent results. Drop me a PM if you'd like more tips etc. I've a mine full of useless knowledge |

To lose around 1lb of fat a week, you need to burn 3,500 kcals a week
But I also achieved this by burning 2,500 kcals and creating a deficit of 1,000 of kcals in take a week
Now that's not strictly correct according to my first statement but I'm hoping to prove, that you can take an approach and amend it to suit you and get similar gains
Eat more fibre you'll stay fuller for longer, don't waste your money on fat burners, spend that little extra on Wholemeal bread, brown pasta, Brown rice, and whole oatmeal porridge
Ps. I think when I looked at what was in fat burners many years ago the ingredients were most vitamin b6 which help reduce your body's water content so you will see a quick weight loss, why not just but the vitamin b6 from h&b |

Also talk to your gp about allastat. It blocks 30% of the fat you intake. It's not for everyone but I've seen it work wonders on a friend. Used with a low fat diet like slimming world you'll do fine. |
