I've never used a utility bill to prove address.

My shotgun licence works well enough.

All you need is something with your name and your address on it.

TV licence perhaps?

Yeah that should be fine . . They only need to know you live there. . Think they have to be dated within the last month or 2

If you've paperless billing you still get an online bill that you can print off... On line tv licence you can print off too

Explain the problem to the people doing the check. There must be alternatives with people doing paperless billing more and more.

Do you have any correspondence from utility providers or banking that will have your account number and your details. That's about as close as I can think of to an alternative.

Letters from the council, hospital or other government department works as well. So council tax, benefits letter anything official looking .

Hampshire

Ask them if they use Tracesmart - it's online ID checking.

We use it all the time

Just print one, even if you do everything online you still get a bill either via email or by logging into your account on whatever site you are using

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

Ask your bank to send you out a copy of your statement.

Not sure if its the same down south, but I know in scotland they won't accept print outs from online billing or banking, but your bank will send you a statement free of charge.

Or ask the council to send a statement from them, or a letter from your gp or hospital. As long as it is official with your address, they will accept it up here.

Council tax is your best bet. Though your utility bills should be printable

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

You should have had a letter recently about individual voter registration. That will have your name and address on it and be from an official source if you can't find your council tax information.

I keep a DBS proof envelope on the go as I'm always being checked. I keep a copy of my last DBS certificate in it too so that they can see I was checked in the last few months.
