I went to bed at midnight. I awoke at half three. I've been awake since. Now I'm sleepy. I could lie in until eight if I want. But is it worth it. Shall I just stay awake now or grab that last hour and a half ish. |

I hate having insomnia. How do you just drop off. My hubby can do it. If he wants to go to sleep he just does. I have to lie there until I'm exhausted and can't keep my eyes open. Just how do you do it. I may have to start a new thread. |

You might as well stay awake now unless being over tired will effect your day in a dangerous way. I'm the same about dropping off sometimes. But as soon as I pick up a book and read a few pages I'm out like a light |

I too am cursed with insomnia, I've tried everything from milky drinks to sleeping tablets over the years. I've recently discovered that a bedtime story courtesy of bbci works wonders!
Lights out, snuggled down, a voice gently telling me a tale and off I go to sleep. I've found that audiobooks work and consistently do so. |

I too am an insomniac , I discovered paul mackenna's trace / sleep download, helps me to drop of most nights . Occasionally I will listen and his voice drives me nuts though, so I get up potter about for 30 minutes, doing something boring like filing paperwork , then try again. |

I feel your pain lol. I know a big portion of lettuce funnily enough helps me sleep. But I don't always want to eat it every day. You could try that. |
