"I'll watch this thread with interest as I'd like to know what a hardened swinger is too! "
Yes. We think if you know you are not one you must know what one is. |

Over the rainbow, under the bridge |
I take it as meaning an experienced swinger which is exactly what I'm looking for.
If someone says they aren't then I see that as a judgemental comment. As if they are somehow more virtuous. |

My understanding of the use of hardened by some is that there is an element of pejorative judgement in it. I imagine it is as if their experiences have hardened them in a callous way rather than just being experienced.
I would never use the term. However I have heard it said that long term swinging can jade you and make you cynical. |

Good point. It does seem judgemental the way some use it. "We are nice people because we have less than 10 verifications" surely over time everyone builds up experience? |

I think both those stereotypes are wide of the mark.

This sums it up for me too. There is definitely a judgemental tone to it though I sometimes think that is not necessarily intended with any malice |

It goes with the "I'm not interested in those with lots of veris" and the "look at x person who's had 190 people in one week".
If it's a sexual meet they better be hardened. |

well, there are a lot of people who know they are not hardened swingers but no one who knows what they are. Mysterious eh?
For me experience is key and, if that hardens you, so be it. |
