All right I am expecting a flaming for this as surely no man has the right to be at all critical of any woman or couples here. But, I have just looked at a woman's profile after she posted a status message complaining that the site was a waste of her time. Now given how hugely disproportionate the ratio of men to women on here is you would imagine that finding a few suitable men would be achievable but if all the women opted to be this selective none of them would find any playmates.
I'm not saying don't state what you want but if your unrealistic don't be surprised if you don't find what you want either. |

Why does not finding what you want make you unrealistic?
Frustrated ? Maybe! Disappointed? Likewise!
But why should someone change their preferences or standards just because they can't find what's right for them? Surely it's better to go without?
If I want a certain style of shoes - I look and I can't find something I like the look of - I'll keep looking or wait til I spot something rather than just 'making do'. Is what she's doing any different?

I can agree with this...it's fine to have certain criteria, but if it's very specific then some need to accept that it's going to be hard to find, especially as many don't actually look and wait for it to fall into their lap! |

Most of her requirements seemed sensible enough, a fairly limited age range, fit attractive etc. can all be limiting but women can have there pick her.
What seemed over optimistic to me was that she expected the selected man to be available daytime, evenings and weekends at short notice with 100% reliability. Surely you have to accept people have a life beyond fab? |

Is it really worth worrying about?
Women (and men) are going to want what they want. Sometimes this may be realistic, other times not.
This place would be a lot more fun if we all just got on with our own thing instead of all these forum threads trying to tell other people how to behave.
Er, I realise that telling people just to get on with things *is* telling them how to behave. But. Um.
