On BBC Radio 4 Money Box programme the issue of savings was discussed and what constitutes a "rainy day pot" The various experts had different opinions on what the average 35 to 50 year old person should have in the bank as savings. The range was between £10k and £50k is that a fair reflection?
An average person is in full time employment and is a mortgage or rent payer in their own accommodation with usual levels of debt that is hire purchase on a car and other sundries. |
