Cliff Richard

Sir Cliff has known and

loved the Algarve for

over 40 years. His idea

to plant a vineyard at his property Quinta do Moinho provided the genesis point for the Vida Nova range of wines.

Sir Cliff is very much involved in producing the wine. When in Portugal he is often seen getting his hands dirty in the vineyard or indeed his feet dirty in the winery.

This is my thinking. It makes me sad because there is very little these celebrities can do to prove their innocence and are pretty much guilty the moment an accusation is made.

I do think that yes if they have done these things that justice should come out... But..... I'm not sure in many of these Cases justice has been done x

A source in the Met told me over 20 years ago the there was a file on him. Would never tell me any more than that but hinted it was young girls rather than boys.

I fully expected this to break sooner rather than later.

May I also add that as there are no legal proceedings yet, there is no case of subjudicy

The media have files on many celebs. They often don't print the stories against big stars unless they can corroborate from another source. Best example of not publishing the stories was Robert Maxwell

It is sad that some have already reached a judgement on this story already. I can only wholeheartedly agree with those who say innocent till proven guilty. And, as we can see above, the right to anonymity should go for those being investigated, as well as alleged victims, as so many are quick to judge. If he was younger this could destroy a career and someone's life. There have been celebs who were taken to trial and found innocent or even, as with Freddie Starr, not found to have broken any laws, as well as those who have been found guilty. How many on here would like professional colleagues knowing the lifestyle choices they make? An investigation into something is a long, long way from guilt. The papers ran big headlines shouting about how could these allegations have come to trial on cases like the William Roach/Ken Barlow one. Yet how many prejudged the man? I worry that pretrial publicity will see innocent people condemned

The police are searching. If they find nothing ...... "

If celebs had the time or inclination to sue every person who libels them on the internet, they would be in court for a long time. They tend to just sue people who influence a lot of people, so a celeb or someone with a large twitter following.

It's a shame this information has been leaked as, for a lot of people, I'm guessing they'll already be assuming he's guilty. It's likely to be a career breaker, with or without any convictions, and, as he's a notoriously 'sensitive' man, could lead him down a very dark road.

Obviously if he is guilty... that's a very different issue.

"Wouldnt be at all surprised. But there again it seems the compo chases are just making a list of celebs to accuse and as soon as ones cleared they move onto the next."

The CPS must take a lot of blame if cases against celebs don't get guilty verdicts. They are the ones who are meant to look at the evidence available and decide if there is a realistic case of conviction.

Much as I despise the man and his music, it is absolutely foul that someone's name should be ruined just because they are under investigation. Innocent until proven guilty does not even come into it when names are revealed prior to a successful prosecution. How would you like it? It is shocking.

A number of celebrities would probably serve themselves well if they came out as liking the same sex. Staying behind a facade of uncertainty etc can help fuel the rabble's distrust. Obviously preferences for adult companions has nothing to do with vile abuse of those who are minors. This whole avalanche of abuse claims seems somewhat more about jumping on bandwagons potentially, though I also believe that strength in numbers leaves people feeling less alone and likely to be ridiculed. I dont think many people are well served by this campaign - any benefit should largely be to stop any vulnerable people being hurt now. I hope anyone however hurt gets peace.

Because of your post about "your friend" and he must be right. Its idiotic statements like that which are just wrong. No body is right in such matters until the judicial process is exhausted thankfully knowing someone who used to work in the media is not recognised as part of the legal process. This man is already being tried in the press and comments like yours just fuel the frenzy over such matters. If I have offended you then it was not intentional you have the right to comment I have the right to reply even if its considered patronising.

kinky heaven

Got myself a crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living doll

Got to do my best to please her, just 'cause she's a living doll

Got a roving eye and that is why she satisfies my soul

Got the one and only walking talking, living doll

Take a look at her hair, it's real

And if you don't believe what I say, just feel

I'm gonna lock her up in a trunk

So no big hunk can steal her away from me

Got myself a crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living doll

Got to do my best to please her, just 'cause she's a living doll

Got a roving eye and that is why she satisfies my soul

Got the one and only walking talking, living doll

Well, take a look at her hair, it's real

And if you don't believe what I say, just feel

Gonna lock her up in a trunk

So no big hunk can steal her away from me

Got myself a crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living doll

thats not how it read to b fair. it read as nit picking and back biting and point scoring on both sides.

you didn't debate the topic of the thread, just picked oles in Zoe's comment. she wasnt the only one who insinuated insider knowledge on this news story, yet you chose to zone in on that one.

"so does one assume that those who think these victims are 'compo chasers' would be fine with some paedophile molesting their own child..?

"

i dont think anypne would accuse a genuine victim of being a compo chaser but the law of averages has to assume that with historical cases like this it is easier for some people to manipulate the truth and claim abuse when non happened.

It shoud never have been disclosed that there were compensation payouts for the others, that way true victims are the only ones that would come forward. If poeple can lie about haing cancer to get money then i am sure people would have no qualms about lying about this.

Just because i hold this _iew does not mean by any stretch of the imagination that i would b ok with anyone touching me or anyone i know inappropriately (abuse can happen at any age). Saying that anyone questioning the motives of a few are pro peaodphile is ridiculous.

a former Tory MP was named today regarding aforementioned guesthouse and not the one usually mentioned. That is going to blow very soon.
