Just been stung three times on my stomach by a wasp who thought it would be great fun to climb under my t-shirt.

Currently being driven to a&e at Queen Alexandria's Hospital in Cosham as the swelling has gone hard and I feel sick.

Damn! A wasp got down the side f me when I was wedged into a car containing a new fitted kitchen (don't ask) and just kept stinging me, it was horrible and very painful. Antihistamines will sort you out I hope...good luck.

In may this year for the first time I saw

My first ever hornet in our conservatory

Which I videoed in a glass jar before Releaseing it outdoors haveing read up Since about hornets and wasps it turns out

In reality that the hornet is a docile creature and peaceful compared to a wasp

Who always seems to have a chip on his Shoulder where both species nests are Concerned then even where the hornet is

Concerned it would pay to keep a distance or not interfere to draw

Attention to yourself, where if one

Wasp stung you it would be painful

but nothing like an hornet sting

Where you would require to go to

Hospital for one sting I saw later

Pictures of people mostly youngsters

Trying to prove the point that it was

Safe to have a hornet crawling over

Yer in somecases their faces guaranteed

To get stung by a wasp like that people

Must have felt pretty confident as These

Were mainly youngsters in the photo,s

That the hornets would not sting them

If they did OUCH golfball like swellings

I never take a chance with any insect

we have had plenty in the garden this

Summer along with the parasitic wasps

and mozzers their like vampires.

Firstly, I am not Southern, I just live down here. 2ndly, would live for you to take a handful of stings and not complain.

P.s. the wasp that stung me is dead. Work boot vs wasp is a very one sided battle.

Yes you certainly suffered

As a youngster from them wasps and yer

Friend would have been scared mentally

I,m sure about that incident she Experienced so pleased you were both

Alright in the end. When a teenager

just left school 40 years ago this august I was maintaining school fields

cutting grass and marking up with lime

playing fields football or hockey it

was either in the august or september

I nearly cut through a wasp,s nest with

My mower thou the nest was active luckily for me there were not really

any wasps unless they were out on there

Rounds but it was and is thee only

Time i have seen a wasp nest at ground

Level they had to be removed not just

mine but the kids sake to so casually

with a can of petrol I was able to at

Ground level with the help of a match

to say BOOM as they all vapourised in

A ball of flame the strange thing is

I never saw many wasps thankgod thinking

How you got attacked decent sized wasp grubs in the nest (Ideal if your a fisherman for some fish especially chub)

I like nature and don,t interfere if i

Can but as far as wasps go they have to

Go.

Good predators and excellent pollenators - much in need if our bees continue to decline.

Yes well we can still hate them.. we

Still have hoverflies and droneflies as a

Together whatever species we need them all

Hospital!!??

Really!!??

I understand if you are allergic (I am) but feeling sick and the sting going hard, doesn't really warrant a visit to hospital surely??

If you don't like insects buy a Bug-a-Salt. It's like a kids toy pump action shotgun and fires ordinary table salt in a pattern. Range is max 18" but fucks up most insects. Once brought down you can finish them off at your leisure.

Extra useful if flies land on your dinner.

I've been stung 3 times. The last 2 were within 2 weeks of one another on the same hand and 18 hours after that 2nd sting and taking Puritin, my whole hand started to swell, hurt like hell and I had to keep it upright under the air con at work. I ended up going to A & E after the advice of a customer who was a nurse. The doctor was useless and only gave me antibotics!

Exactly.... I'm allergic... Not life threatening unless above shoulder ( they say) ... But last time I was stung my whole arm swelled up.... Only advice given was piriton unless struggling to breath.... My dad is majorly allergic and has an epi pen... Think its watered down in me
