Today I will be cleaning my Civic ready to advertise it for sale.
I've never had to sell a car by myself before and I'm surprised to find I am rather freaked out and stressed by the idea.
I can't decide where to advertise it, what to ask for it or anything else.
I wouldn't have expected this to bother me. I've been fine about getting a new MOT and servicing it but advertising it is causing me stress.
What stresses you that you wouldn't have expected would bother you? |

"I've learnt not to let things stress me out as when I do get stressed out I make myself Ill...deep breaths VV you can do it "
I'm not even sure what's bothering me about it, tbh. It's a bizarre thing to be worried about. |

When i was selling my last car, i first put it on autotrader, cost about £40, i was constantly emailed from scammers, someone wants to buy it, they will pay, get a company to pick it up, but they cant pick it up as they work out at sea.....first and last time i will use that site, but thats my own experience. |

All the best VV, I'm sure you'll find the right words to advertise and sell it.
As for me...whenever I try a new recipe, I always goes well and is a great success...its when I want to do it again that I get stressed. The second time is usually a disaster! but that's ok its just an obstacle, a small hurdle because I know the 3rd, 4th etc times will be good again. |

Are you worried, or just sad because you've had it so long. Many memories of years with the car. Not necessarily stressed, just nostalgic. |

I sold my old car on Gumtree (it was ancient and not worth very much) and I sold my pervious one on eBay (same reason but cheaper than scrapping it). I asked my brother to come round when someone was coming to view and they were both sold as seen, without a test drive. Have you got someone who could come round at the right time so you're not alone?
I get stressed traveling when I'm not in control i.e. trains/planes... making it to the station/airport in good time etc. I like being in control so tend to drive when I can. |

Hmm, I don't know. That's a good point actually. Perhaps. |

"Toothache. It sucks all the creativity out of life and makes me want to curl up into a ball and rain brimstone on Chesterfield. "
Don't most things encourage the raining of brimstone on Chesterfield?

Look at other adverts VV and get some ideas. I sold my old car on gumtree it was pretty straight forward in the end. |

I've learnt to try not to let anything stress me, there is nearly always a solution to most problems if you look at them calmly and objectively.
The only time I've become stressed recently is when I had hassle but I found that instead of bottling things up and getting stressed, talking about it was a great relief and calmed me down |

Crap directions to buildings in towns I've never been to for work meetings.
Take the wrong exit out a station and im lost.
I hate being late, rushing and turning up hot and messy. |
