Think so!! Gonna be a costly day.. Already a grand out changing locks.. Police say prob never find it and if they did the burglars laugh at them when they get 6 months for burglary when it's supposed to be 10 years! No deterrent |

It's an Italian supercar sculpted in the form of a toasted panini . |

Sorry to hear that op, it is a traumatic experience knowing some scum has been through your belongings. I was burgled not long after I moved into my new flat, luckily most of my stuff was still in storage but they still got away with quite a bit |

I abhor thieves of all description. It's a terrible crime. I can't stand people who aid and abet these bastards. The ones who sell stuff on. Never buy off the back of a lorry. These are the shits who are stealing from your house.
Really feel for you OP. Hope you feel ok. |

awful time for you , it has happened me too in the past , and i was unlucky enough to be car jacked by thugs who attempted to run over me as well in the process ,I hope you are not too shaken . The invasion of privacy in your home is no laughing matter , the thoughts that a stranger has rifled thru your stuff is very unnerving and can make a person feel vunerable for quite some time after . sending a kiss and hug your way . x |

Off at a slight tangent here. In the 80's a mate of mine had a motorbike which he had spent a few thousand quid on. He kept it locked up in a shed in his garden. Someone must have noticed this because it got stolen from there when he was away for the weekend.
Luckily for him it was recovered as it was about to embark on a ferry to the continent for resale or to be broken down for bits. |

Had same a few years back. Took laptops, phones, game consoles, car at around 3am while all asleep upstairs.
Police knocked on front door at 4am to tell me they believe we had been burgled.
The Merc had a cruse control that can be switched to a speed limiter. I had it set to 20mph as I drove to work each day through a 20 limit area with cameras and speed bumps. To switch it on you flick the stick.
I believe the thieves drove off and at the first turn flicked it on as they thought it was the indicator. ... Car was then limited to 20mph.
The police dog handler was on her way home and saw a car, at nearly 4am, stopped on the side of the road with all the occupants standing around it. She turned around to take another look, they all ran, and she let the dog off ....
One got away, but he had used my phone to call his mum and the number was in the phone records.
Everything, other than phones, returned the next day.
All the thieves got off with nothing, the police could not prove any of them had been in the car or that they had dialed the number. They all had gloves on.
They claimed they found the car abandoned and they were using their phones to find out what to do ...
So had everything back, changed the locks, lost money I had in centre console for sons birthday present and felt violated .. Horrid,do know what you are feeling.
Hope they find them, if they had not of flicked the limiter on mine would have been long gone. When I picked the car up from the police pound the limiter was still on ... Hence my theory why they stopped.

They do a wonderful job, hopefully they will be able to track down and prosecute the evil ******* that have made your recent life such a misery.
As I said earlier, I have been burgled and it takes a long time to recover from that.
I hope the saying "What goes round comes around" is true in anybody's case if you have been burgled. |

We should have fab branded baseball bats on sale, keep us all feeling a little safer. Id not even like those on come dine with me going through my stuff, let alone intruders. Good luck op! |

Got burgled many years ago, it leaves you feeling violated, what they take is not the important part it's more that they were in your private space.
The scumbags that do this sort of thing justify it by saying insurance will cover it, but a) it doesn't and b) there is no insurance for feeling vulnerable.

There's a very sad lack of empathy from some on this thread.
I'd say that thoughtlessness and a lack of consideration and compassion for others is a bigger blight on society than being upset and angry about violation of personal space and theft of property. |

I don't think most of the scumbags care enough to justify it beyond "I want it. He has it. I'll take it". And time and time again they are sent on their way by the judicial system with no more than a slapped wrist. |

The perpetrators are all of the above, I agree, but the question is , what has driven them to commit these socially abhorrent acts? Who affords them empathy and understanding? Bury your heads in the sand and it will not abate. We will accumulate, and they will steal. A classic ,social vicious circle. N'est pas?

I suspect you've found your way onto many more block lists than hot lists as a result of this thread.
It wasn't really a good advert for you as a person. "
This site is miles bigger than the forums,It wouldn't make an ounce of difference to my fun if the whole of the forums decided to block me,people will post what they want and if they have opinions then they shouldn't be frightened to express them for fear of being blocked by people |

"Ok. I confess. I am the Devil's advocate. Apologies to all whom I have offended. xxx
Peace and love people .
Now , who wants to make love?"
There are occasions when a devil's advocate isn't required and this is one of them. |

That is my fate madam. I accept it with grace . The freedom of speech is a gift , many fail to grasp with true understanding. No hard feelings. |

People will just think of him in a bad light thats all. |

The post was asking those on the fora if they want a shag though. Others won't see it.
I stand by my statement that it's likely fewer people would consider the offer following the comments made on this thread. |

I'm lead to believe that guys have a hard enough time here without trying to make themselves unpopular but to each his own. |

Would you rather see a person as they are or see the image they feel they have to be purely for acceptance because its hard for single males on here
Id rather people were themselves, whether I agree or disagree with them,I hate lick arses who say what they think everyone wants to hear because they're under the illusion it'll make them popular |

I don't like arse licking from those seeking to be popular. I still see no need to be deliberately unpleasant just to play Devil's Advocate. |

"I empathise with your plight, but put it in perspective. Spare a thought for the thousands of victims , whose homes and family have been obliterated, who are fleeing with babes in arms, for their lives for days without food and water.
Me,Me,Me...is the poison that has raddled the moral fabric of society.
Get a grip man.
No what has raddled the moral fabric of society is the inability by many to empathise with another human being whatever their pain. Your comment here shows no empathy and isn't necessary.
Empathy stems from the capacity of forgiveness, tolerance and above all, humbleness. Self pity ? Do me a favour.
This isn't self pity with all the connotations that carries, it's genuine human distress and if you can't see that then I genuinely pity your plight."
Graciously accepted and noted. |

It is a necessary evil to expose truth and self denial. It is the falcrum of debate. |

Only when there is a need for debate. As someone said above, the Devil's Advocate was not needed here. You were just being unpleasant and showing no empathy at all.
By the way, if you're going to try to appear intellectual, spell the words right |
