Sneaked out the back door and came back with nasty fleas. Luckily I caught them before they multiplied. I've spent two days examining all four cats every couple of hours. I fleaded them all and I can't find any on her today. Its worse than having kids even my son didn't get nits.
I might shave them all |

"I put monthly flea treatment on my dog, a capsule on the neck and gives her constant protection against fleas, ticks and lungworm, Shes never had fleas " well she gets done every two months but that might be why they didn't multiply and only had a couple

"Are any of your cats fluffy? If so, they may need their trousers trimmed - it's an experience!" yes the one that got them
I've got a tabby whose hair has just grown back after being done. That looked weird.

"Don't forget to treat your carpets! You could have gone through all that and one little escapee hiding in your shag pile jumps back on and ruins it all." I did the carpet and sofas, that would be my biggest fear. I nearly burnt the house down once because I thought I'd got fleas in the house. Doctor had to come and sedate me

According to our Animal Concern peeps, the good weather means fleas are a lot more prevalent...mine get done every month and if I notice the odd one in the house I give everywhere a good spray and spend a coupla hours gagging over the ruddy stink! |

Would it be wiser to just shave a Mohican down each cats back? Then you'll know where the fleas congregate.
Anyone know if you can train, and retain, fleas to live in that part of your cultivated garden that cooking fats like to shit in, at least then the little twats get something in return. |

We've recently had a problem with fleas on our cat. Was really confusing us as we use the topical flea treatments on him all the time. Turns out that the fleas have built up a resistance to Front line. Apparently you should switch brands every few months in order to stop them building up resistance. As soon as we got some Advantage the problem got sorted quickly. Acclaim flea spray works great for spraying the house.
Whatever you do, do not use Bob Martin flea products as they've been linked to cat deaths. |

I agree, you should try new flea treatments every few months. At the moment I'm using fiprospot but I have used Advantage before. I just find that its beneficial to use flea treatments continuously |
