Menston near Ilkley

Mike and the Mechanics 'In the living years' spurred me on to search for my real father at 40yo.

Finding him was undoubtedly the best day in my life!

Not seen it,but did find out the other day that my dad had a daughter with a French woman a good few years ago!

So I've got a half sister somewhere in France that I'll never meet.

It was the last one of the series and I am pleased that miriam found victor, her salvadorean father, who have never seen her, until now. I shed few tears, it is good they are finally together.

I was adopted as a baby. My birth mother was a hippy. No idea who my father was. Some one night stand I guess. I know who my mother is and where she lives but I have never made contact. I class the two people who loved and cared for me as my mum and dad. I had a great childhood. I grew up here in Norfolk in the countryside. Helped my father on the farm as a boy. They did all they could to give me everything a child needed. I know my birth mother gave me up because of finance issues but I have no intention of ever meeting her. I love my parents as a son should. With respect and gratefulness.

I hate this show for how it exposes the vulnerable- whether present day or when they had to make that decision to give up their child, but it will be the last chance for some to find answers and family members.

I know if people are found but do not want to meet then they can say but I feel sorry for the siblings- say if the parent has died, as you can never untell them that there is someone out there and that they were lied to all their years.

This one was good, shed few tears in the end as she found her mother in equador after 27 years, she then met the rest of the family.
