Created a video earlier using my built in webcam (of our baby boy - before dirty minds race).
Its only 2 mins long so tried to send it by email to other half who's away at mo. When i tried to upload it, it turns out to be 21MB in size - MB!!
Does anyone have any clue if i can make this a smaller file? |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
You probably can and there's probably some software on your PC that can do it.
Or you could download some free conversion software that would probably do it....
...but, with so many "probably"'s, your best bet may be to upload it to the internet and let your OH download it - ie don't email it, just use a filehosting site such as mediafire or rapidshare.
Just a thought. |

Whilst there were a significant amount of probably's in your message the hosting thingamebob makes great sense.
For a chap in a towel, that's a good suggestion.
Thanks xx |

If you are using a windows based PC use windows movie maker and there are preset conversions to make the file size smaller.
The other programs to use are Video pad video editor and a cross platform program called virtualdub i.e it works on macs, linux as well as windows.
