I have been at it for an hour now and i cant raise it, Ive pushed and pulled, shaken it and even tried bashing it but to no avail, am now standing here with one hand on the knob contemplating ripping this bloody bonnet off the bloody Car.

Try pushing down hard on the bonnet while someone gives it a tug

the cable I mean

the bonnet cable.
