I have an iPhone 5s on an EE network and Fab is always triggering the Contect Blocker. I've spoke to EE several times about this*. Does anyone have the same issue?

*obviously I don't mention Fab directly.

reading through the 'mobile web app' part of the forum, this problem with EE pops up frequently!

I had this, they kept telling me it was off, I took it into an EE shop, handed the phone over, he went on Internet and it was on fabswingers still still tried telling me it was working as I could access betting sites. Couldn't access fab when out though!

Eventually got it sorted after a few more calls to EE and it's been ok for a few months now

I can now access this and other adult sites without problem

"Have the same problem have called them several times, took the phone to the EE shop and still get content blocked only solution is to keep clearing the history"

this unfortunately.

I call them almost every time it happens. They need to know and get fed up of the calls they receive!

Only happens with my EE line though. Not with my T-Mobile one.

Same with me. They admitted there's a problem. I turn my phone off and on and it seems to clear

Yep same here , turn of and back on again in The IT Crowd stylee and it all works fine

No ideal but at least it's a work around

Mine does this every now and then. I assume it's linked to an issue there end as I have content lock off (as I can see on the EE app and my online account)

Annoying when I can't access betting sites more than Fab

It happens every time with me on EE. It says to supply credit card details to unlock it, but I'm a bit dubious to do that, so I use WiFi. Although most places bar that too because of its 'content'. I guess it's the nanny state protecting us all.

I'm on virgin which piggy backs the EE network, ive had it a few times when I've tried to access adult sites and from nowhere the parental blocks on, last time i called they said it was incase any under 18s were using my phone, so i told them when they pay the bill you can protected them from such sites ive had to call up several times this year to get it removed as they just keep randomly putting the filter on

Try Opera mini if it's on the appstore. It works fine with the mobile version of this site. It compresses the data before it displays on your screen so has to go through a server first - kind of bypassing the adult restrictions. Should keep you going until they sort out the problem

This has happened to me since moving to ee from t mobile and I have the content lock off.

Seems to do it every so often, mostly when in a certain area.

Even more peculiar, as T-mobile is now EE!

I'm with Virgin, who use EE and haven't had any problems, although I seldom use the mobile version of Fab, almost always the desktop version, even on my phone.

This, along with 'turn it off and on again' is a typical reaction from someone who knows jack shit

It's called content lock, just take it into an EE shop and ask them to turn it off / remove it.

This usually happens when I'm at the park and I often wonder whether they have different restrictions in places where children may be!

Had this issue on My Note 3 when I first got it. Installed the MyEE app and used that to turn the content lock off. Been fine ever since. Mind you I also only use Firefox rather than the standard browser.

not sure why... but it doesn't use the block because you are using an app to get to the page... its one of those weird things but it actually circumvents the block

Good to know. I haven't been blocked on EE for a while but now use Opera so I guess that's why.
