Do six packs make you athletic

Does having a six pack make you athletic. In my eyes no. Long and distance runners are extremely athletic, but I cannot remember one that sported a 6 pack. I only ask as in another thread a guy was told he was not athletic(which he had put on his profile). Well he might not have a 6 pack but he was not fat had minimal body fat and went to the gym regularly. Is that not athletic????

Dont think its a tick box criteria however if a person had one i would think its highly likely they are athletic.

But i do agree some can be athletic without one

Depends on how far you can run carrying them.

Yes it does, size wise, not necessarily fitness wise. But size wise yes because you will only get a six pack when you are below a certain % of body fat. And it's quite low. Everyone has them but they don't show if your % is too high. As far as I'm aware anyway. Something like that.

I had a six pack while in the army. Now it has grown up into a 12 pack.

Athletic like most of the body types on here is an entirely subjective term. People should use whatever they feel suits them and not worry about others interpretation

The body types on here are for guidance, one persons average is another persons curvy etc.

A six pack doesn't necessarily mean you're healthy either, or necessarily generally 'fit'. But you'll only have them if you're low on body fat I think, as previous poster said.

I regard myself as athletic on my profile, but I wouldn't want the discipline of a true 6 pack, football and social sports are enough, and eating in moderation etc is fine for me.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

Athletic as a body type refers to, well, a body type! You don't have to be an athlete or physically athletic to have an athletic body type.

I'd say, yes, a six pack is an athletic build.

"Rugby player's build" is often described as athletic on here, on the basis that rugby is a sport. That, in general, IMO, is not an athletic build.
