Hello again I might not get shot down here again
But why do people hide profile ?
Then a couple of hours put it back on .
My ?is what do they gain from this ?

Im not the problem . she's on friend list we only talk every 2-3 days checking in with each other and it's not sexual so want to know what can be gained |

I hide my profile when I'm not looking for meets, to remove myself from site search results and to cut messages I receive down to a minimum.
What's hard to understand about that?
A profile here is effectively an advertisement of a person and what they are looking for. If they don't want to be advertising themselves then they can hide their profile. |

She has gone on a meet and you two are only fab friends. She probably does not want you seeing a verification and is worried about your reaction or feelings.
From my point of view you seem to involved in her business and should take a step back.

I still don't understand what you're saying. Literally, what you have written makes no sense. You could try dividing it in to sentences, which might help.
Nobody has shot you down.
What does "so not her like u" mean?
And seriously, just message her and ask if she's ok. This is coming across as a bit stalkerish.
Asking why people may hide their profile is one thing but asking us why your friend has is pointless. We can't possibly know.
If the profile says "this user has hidden their profile" it's hidden to everyone.
If it says you can't access the profile because they have blocked you or you have blocked them, one of you has blocked the other.
Now just ask her and stop freaking out. |

Why do people hide their profile?
Because they are away and don't want any messages.
Because they are being hassled by people constantly looking at their profile and want it stopped.
Because they think a vanilla someone who knows them is searching for them on FAB.
Because they accidently hit the hide profile button.
Because they want to piss off the profile surfers.
Because they have a STI and don't want to keep explaining why they cannot play.
Because ...... please fill in the blanks.

I can't be arsed wading through the one liners when I'm not that interested in meeting anyone.
I'm always curious as to why anyone cares though, isn't it better just to concentrate on what you're doing than what other people are doing?
Of course you could always ask your friend why she does that, I'd guess she's probably better placed to answer than we are.  |

Reading this thread has been like one of those fantasy adventure books I used to read as a kid. Often bizarre and ALWAYS confusing! I'm glad I read it while sober although I think drugs may have helped!! |
