I used to work with some inspirational people, beautiful and life changing to others, I appreciated that though.
Now I'm grateful I have a job I enjoy and manage others in a way they appreciate, or give it my best anyway. Travel is well paid though, hours are well above contract though - grateful to have a job as well, tough climate at the minute, helping a few friends get into better careers too, which is a perk of previous employment as well. |

Free acupuncture, quite often free food and usually job satisfaction!
My old job was great, worked in the wedding industry and managed to haggle deals and freebies worth almost £10k for my own wedding!! |

Might need to mention the frequent 70hr weeks 8-9 days in a row, 5am starts or 4am finishes, working nights/weekends/bank holidays for no extra pay, having days off cancelled as they're really 'off, but available', some strange and questionable practices from having too many opposing departments/politics/egos etc, hazardous working conditions, huge financial and reputational pressures to get things right first time - and fix things that do go wrong very quickly due to financial/contractual limits but with very complex multi directional health and safety issues.......
thats just part of the other side of it.....still want to work there? |
