"Red velvet with icing made from cream cheese and mascarpone. Just reading that made my knickers moist! "
Making it is a pain in the ass, because it's much better from scratch than a boxed mix, but good god it's worth it in the end. |

My best friend's red velvet with cream cheese icing is the winner for me.
Although I so also love a baked NY style cheesecake. And Tiffin! If that counts as cake i've changed my mind-tiffin is the best thing EVERRR! |

One of my sisters uses the red velvet boxed mixes and white choc chips to make cookies with. A bit fiddly, she says, but taste great. |

I've entered quite a few now, mainly just little village fêtes really. I'm not one to blow my own trumpet but I love baking and think I'm pretty good at it and want to open my own cake shop at some point. |

Cool. I just did it for my kids when they were younger and munchkin is now getting old enough to do some with now so i will probably get back into it more. I'm not bad, but i do it for the fun. |

Yeah easier than you think to make. Just Lakeland caramel flavour in the sponge and then in the buttercream add the caramel flavour and then a pinch or 2 of fine sea salt. If you want you can drizzle the cake with some dulce de leche too. |
