I'm going to try and get to the Imperial War Museum and experience the trenches they have built.

My 2 brothers a true tribute to those who gave there lives for a free world

The IWM is good, but to visit the Somme or Ypres is profoundly moving.
Visit the holocaust exhibition at the IWM but don't expect to sleep well afterwards. |

I don't expect to. War horrifies me and I don't wish to glorify it at all but remembering what happened, finding out why and the effects it has on us now is too important.

I don't think we learn from past conflicts, other than how to fight the next one better.
The act of remembrance for me instills a little faith that we have not yet reached the point where we consider the loss of life as worthless. |

Yes I will be. I feel its my duty to not forget those who fought and those that lost loved ones. Just watched a documentary called Brothers in Arms, all about the Pals Regiments. Truly humbling.  |
