As a follow on from another thread - I can't understand why people allow themselves to be ripped off say by a garage.
Why don't people get a second opinion before committing to spend £hundreds?? |

I don't know these people so could t possibly answer of course.
From a personal perspective. I'll always try to find a way to fix a problem myself before I'll commit to paying someone to do it for me. Have saved myself a fortune over the years. |

One of my cars had been damaged while parked up. Front grill dented . Asked main dealer for a quote just to replace the grill . Was told just under £400 supply n fit. So I spoke to a friend, who managed to find one on Ebay... Was delivered n friend fitted it all for £17.50! Result! Who said blondes are dumb!? Lol |

To be sort of fair to the dealer they can only replace with new to avoid warranty issues / comeback. |

Convenience. People often leave these things till the last minute and don't have time to shop around. |
