I've joined pof and lovoo and seem to be attracting the morons on the site. A guy wrote to me yesterday and his main pic was of a poodle, i can see why he did that, as the pics of him were god awful  imagine hunchback....
Has anyone had any success on dating sites and can you give me any tips?  |

I've been on POF for about 6 months, had some awesome dates and made couple of friends. I hear OkCupid is good. But this is the internet, so they will be some chaft. |

To be fair I've only used Match and found it a waste of money, I met an ex through swinging and an ex through Facebook...you may have a difference experience to me on POF I get a lot of men message me on POF who are on here also and drop hints about fab etc |

I (fem) was on POF for two years, off and on.
I had a ball! Met some lovely blokes and had some fantastic dates.
I met my fella on there too. He'd only been on a week so was not expecting such a quick success.
Been together over two years now and we are engaged and now planning our wedding. 
Lots do slate POF but with that site, I found myself. Developed a confidence I didnt have before and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. |

I have found this much more straightforward and honest than the dating sites I have tried.
The Times and Guardian Soul Mates were both, erm, interesting. I met no one on eHarm(ony) and all the profiles I "matched" with would send a reply saying we didn't have any chemistry (code for eek, there's a minger).
A very long time ago I tried Dinner Dates, expensive but fun and at least you meet a few people at once.
I looked at Part-Time Love but the site is confusing so I didn't go any further.

I joined pof amd had tgree meets in three days. Thats not posdible for me on fab. Reason being there are more equal numbers in regards to male/female ratio on pof. Only problem is tgey keep chucking me off site so I given up on it. |

Because of my situation , I tried Widow Dating,and found myself among the younger members, profile pictures.....dont get me started, several with kiddies, dogs, cats, for some reason which escapes me there were lots of blokes posing with fish, except for one "original" who posed with a sheep instead!
Its very polite and there is a lot of looking and not much chatting. Having learned a few things on here, some sort of demographic isnt being catered for and I fall into it...... |

I got thrown off there for literally nothing. I had met a few ladies and had some nice dates. Still see a couple now.
I think I was thrown off because some woman who had ' no one-liners' sent me 'hi' message. 
I pointed to the irony of it and was blocked the next day.
Have tried to get back on a couple of times but to no avail. Pisses me off when I hear some of the horror stories from my friends on there. |

Trust me, they throw you off for no reason whatsoever. They dont even explain what rule you are breaking. Its stupid. Got fed up with it. But have to say meeting is much easier on pof |
