Ok that OP was basic, we all use the forums and over time for those who have been here a while or use it regularly must be aware that others build up idea's based on the information we share, threads we start or contribute too.
I'll start by saying i believe others think of me as being obsessed with my child, sometimes needy, i start threads based on simple questions due to my curiosity (and boredom), i like creative things hense the avatar challenges.

My personal take on perceptions is that we are as much how others see us as how we see ourselves and have something to learn about ourselves from those external _iews. We can accept those _iews or dismiss them but if someone thinks you're an arse and you are always the same with them then you are an arse to that person.
I know 80% of the people I meet in life like me and will have a positive experience and that 20% won't. I am sure that is pretty much the same for most people.

I think the question is a funny one to answer because it's about perceptions of an online persona. My forum persona is a caricature, a merest glimpse of what might be the real me onto which others project "their stuff". Their perception is coloured by their own filters, so their _iew of me is often a reflection of them as much as me. Seeing through all of that to the real me requires a remarkable degree of perceptiveness or to know me well over a long period of time. Even the closest people to me don't know the real me in all its 'glory'. I don't think I do either |

Not something I've though about to be honest. I hope I come across as down to earth and cheerful - most of the time anyway Those that have met me have left veris to confirm this so I'm happy with that  |

On here, I seem to say and do some dumb things, but I keep my blonde hair hidden. I am forthright, confused often and sometimes confusing, and always available for a good laugh, as my downfall is that many accuse me of not taking things seriously enough. From school onwards I have been the naughty one, and mischief and trouble seems to be magnetically drawn to me. On the plus side, people love sharing and trusting me. Perhaps they think my scatty side will forget stuff. And if you want to skive or take a little break whilst doing something, including graft, count me in, as playing games or joking is more important. What was the question? Determined, game for a laugh, sweet if dizzy. |
