very rarely,, i never make the effort day to day,, quite slobbish really. cant be arsed with make up or hair.
I probs would feel better about myself if i made more effort though |

Pretty much my inspiration for this thread, is the number of good looking girls I see out and about in the summer. It's sometimes hard for me to say that initial hello, but I look at it this way, whilst paying someone a compliment is no promise of them saying the same about me, if they never knew that I found them attractive, then I'd have no chance with them at all. |

As a woman I often compliment other women of all ages. I saw a very well dressed lady with her dapper partner both in their eighties. She wore a dress that had been crocheted so I complimented her on it and her appearance. She had made it and several others like it she explained and they both walked on smiling and I hope a tiny bit happier. I felt good too because a genuine comment had made someone happy. |

Quite often. Just yesterday I had two guys sitting next to me at a stop light whistling, this was after blowing their horn and riding beside me for about 5miles .... I had just enough time to acknowledge and speak(which blew their minds!)before the light turned green--thank god! Though I appreciate and I am gracious about the compliments I find myself often embarrassed by them!! |

Depends on the type of compliment.
On appearance or looks rarely if ever and when I do I never believe them & always think the giver is after something. I do however to get good feedback for my work which I suppose is a compliment of a sort.

I was also thankful for the huge dump truck I got behind and the guys were in front of! It allowed me to pull me into the gas station without being seen until they were well past the turn off!!! Lol!!! Sometimes I wonder what people are thinking but then it's a huge waste of time to even go there!!! lol!!! |

The only real life compliment I've received in the last year or so was you've lost weight. I got a comment on a nice shirt at a party. But the shirt couldn't acknowledge the compliment so I said thanks on its behalf |

It depends on how much I'm out and about, to be honest. And who with. From random strangers i do get compliments ranging from smile or eyes to accent, intelligence, shoes, handbag, or even how I'm handling a challenging situation with my son. |

Depends on the type of compliments...
On my actual looks....not very often.
But things like, your hair looks nice today or that top really suits you, quite often.

Not often in work. My dress code is very different to here.

I dish them out regularly. Never unwarranted but I like to make people smile. The girl I see in the coffee shop on my way to work pretty much every day had a new haircut on Friday so I told her it looked fantastic because it did. As for me, I always take it as a compliment when I get asked for I D when I buy age restricted items. Considering my advancing decrepitude that is a compliment in my eyes! |

I tend to go a bit coy, if I'm complimented. I'm not really sure what to say  I do compliment.. If I see something I like I have not qualms in saying so. |

Quite a lot just lately, I get people on a daily basis telling me I look great after the weight loss, had a few tell me I look a lot prettier now I don't have a fat face too |
