He's been in some cracking films, but I think his career can be split into periods.
Early great films, ropey easy films where it didn't take up too much time and trouble, a come back with some good films and some ropey ones again. |

somebody once said to Michael Caine that he made more bad films than any other actor. He laughed and said he had made more films than any other actor |
