Didn't watch the first series so didn't know what to expect. Watched the new series last night and my head hurts!

Strange. Very strange (tho I love Noel)

What did you think?

Titz Towers, North Notts

As I've said before on another thread, I think he looks like he should be funny and was good in the IT Crowd, but just seems to punch well below my expectations of him.

Caught it last night.

Weird isn't the word - crap might be a little more appropriate.

And coincidentally the IT crowd was on straight after - I'd seen it before but sooooooooo much funnier!

The Town by The Cross

He is creative.

He does new and interesting things.

Boosh was thought odd at first.

People hated python and Derek.

I've no idea why people just like to feel safe with the same old shit year after year.

Without people like Fielding everything would be stale.

He's not my cup of tea tho after me saying all that ..... too precious. My children like him tho ..... uhmmmm they are adult tho.

Don't necessarily agree that without Fielding everything would be stale.

Just because he is doing something unique doesn't necessarily make him funny, just unique but unfunny and therefore comedy would not be harmed in anyway by his disappearance from the comedic universe.

We should always remember the lesson of the Emperors New Clothes, if you think it's unfunny and loads of others think it's unfunny then funnily enough it probably is unfunny.

Just my pennies worth.

I get the feeling the Boosh (which I loved) was funny because Julian was reigning Noel in. He is a very funny man (as witnessed on every panel show going) but may just need editing. Mind you, I thought the first episode of series 2 was more cohesive than the whole first series, which reeked of self indulgence when I really wanted to like it. That's my tuppence for thought, anyway!
