I'm about to start reinstalling an operating system on a laptop.

It's only taken me two or three years to get round to doing it.

There will be a lot of nothing much going on in between the bits where I must enter information and during the subsequent reinstall of all the software.

I'm wondering if I should get a long extension lead and take it out into the garden.
