I'd suggest Fear of a Black Hat, but i think she might be a tad too young for it- i think you might like it though matey, think Spinal Tap vs late 80's/early 90's hip hop |

Being There.
Star Wars.
Is that being there starring peter sellers? I liked that film."
He should have won the Oscar for it, it was an amazing performance how he lost out to Tootsie is beyond me. |

American Grafitti....
do yu not think its a bit to 'cine geek' for a kid? could just go straight for THX1138 instead "
Surely when you've got Richie Cunningham, mr Hooper and Hans Solo in the same film, it's a classic. |

Personally think Pay It Forward should be on the list not just because its a great film but also it sends out a brilliant message about kindness and compassion |

Yes, lovely film. And I still love Princess Bride too - every time I hear or use the phrase 'As you wish' I think of it, good lesson there too.
And Cold Mountain - for the portrayal of the feeling of longing, I know that feeling.

I love a lot of these films (original Star Wars, The Princess Bride and anything by Miyazaki being faves I can still watch over and over).
Can I throw in Time Bandits and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen too? Or some Ray Harryhausen - I loved Clash of the Titans as a kid and still do. |

You really should, it's quite beautiful. Almost on par with Roy Batty's death in Bladerunner... |
