Rocky Raccoon. My dad used to sing it to me and my sister when we were kids so it has a very special place in my heart. Otherwise, I cannot abide the Beatles. |

Apart from the poppy hits I couldn't name any of their songs. Well before my time and my parents weren't into them so I have no knowledge of their album stuff at all. Sound a bit like westlife or take that to me. |

Go listen to I want you (she's so heavy) from Abbey Road and then tell me they sound like Westlife or Take That. |

I like some Beatles songs done by other artists, but I saw the Bootleg Beatles years ago and they were pretty good considering I'm not particularly a fan |

I can understand not liking the Rolling Stones or the Doors or some other band because most of their music sounds similar and if you don't like that then you're not gonna like anything by that band. But the Beatles explored, if not invented, tonnes of avenues of music.
Take 'Sgt Pepper'... the album includes Indian Sitar music, an old fashioned bit of swing music with puffing tubas, a psychedelic journey around a circus, a softly sung ballad with strings about parenthood, a psychedelic song about LSD with loads of wonky manipulations, a couple of standard rock songs, and a fucked up journey through a variety of genres that ends with the sound of a piano being thrown off the roof of a building. Released on the 1st of June 1967 and pretty much single handedly ushered in all of the rock and electronic experimentation that followed.
That's a lot of styles of music not to like lol |

Ok so my recommendations for you would be...
Get Back (1970) - It's got a kind of heavy country yet soul vocals type of feel to it which I'm thinking you might like
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en-liwDGzaw
For You Blue (1970) - It's all wobbly and slide guitar-tastic...which is what makes it so yummy n trippy...yet with a heavy blues style
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KaeHCA-2r0
Both on the same album as this...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tjq9LmSO1eI
One of my faves...totally hippy cosmic poetic lyrics with an Indian sitar influence. With the Beatles, unlike many other bands, it really is worth listening closely to the lyrics as you might find the song you thought was about one thing turns out to be about something completely different.
I hope you find something in them If not...well at least you tried XX |

"We have a tribute band in our town tonight.
Whats your fav Beatles track?
"
Just impossible to pick. In My Life, Something, Here Comes The Sun, Strawberry Fields Forever, All You Need Is Love...
...to be fair I could easily list about another 50 quality tunes of theirs. |

The Beatles are the most overrated band of all time! Even the Osmonds were better.
They couldn't play their instruments to save their lives, and all those classic songs turned out by Lennon & McCartney, seemingly with ease, were all utter tripe.
There's not one song of theirs that I like, because they all sound the same, I mean, listen to Love Me Do, and then listen to I Want you straight after. See what I mean? exactly the same! no progression at all, losers.
Never mind that in seven short years they turned popular music on its head. Never mind that they moved so fast NO ONE could keep pace with them, and never mind that in 1967 alone they produced more brilliant music, than most bands manage in a career. They were shite I tell you. Utter shite. |

Tongue firmly in cheek.
Your quite correct there's never been anybody before or since who's quite been as, progressive!
Dear old John would have been 76 if he hadn't been gunned down in December all those years ago.
I would have loved to have seen the world today had he lived! |
