Lol! I've been in the uk so long i hadn't realised it had morphed into that meaning. To us, in the south, it was just a crazy or most usually a d*unk person, i.e. crazy ole coot, d*unk as a coot....though since it again refers to a turtle I'm not sure where the comparison actually comes from, there. |
