Twenty years ago I was just about to get married to Mrs P. Our honeymoon was the worst holiday we've ever had.
We were just about to move into a shitty one bed roomed flat and we were skint. Happy as shitty pigs but I think we are in a much better place now. |

I don't really miss an awful lot from twenty years ago, life was good then and its good now but for different reasons.
I would like to have a flat stomach again but that would be achievable if I put the work in |

I was 21 and i don't miss that much but it all went a bit down hill from there for a few years.
I do however miss being able to have 3 hours sleep & a skinful but still be able to function the following day. If I have more the 3 glasses of wine and less the 8 hours sleep these days I'm good for nothing for about 3 days!! |

I may have only been 5 but I miss the community spirit there used to be in my area.
Everyone seemed to know everyone and they all kept an eye out for each other.
Also my Grandad used to grow peas and cabbages in the garden and I miss helping him out.

"20 years ago I was 15, so I don't miss school, I hated it.
So although my life can be a little difficult at times, now I'm a grown up (in body, if not in mind), I actually prefer my life now! "
Never grow old in your mind, the body
might not agree some times but lets not worry about it |

"Cars made of metal, not plastic and that you could fix without a degree in computing..."
You might have to go back a bit further for that, by 1988 Citroen BX had plastic wings, bonnet and lower boot lid....you could fix it without a degree in computing as long as you had a PHD in hydraulics though |

Going out for the evening with friends and all chatting, not texting or posting on Facebook! When we used to have a laugh and fuck the consequences. (Lucy Consequence was gorgeous! lol)
Sadly, even we look at out phones every now and then, whilst at the pub or out for a meal... My Bad! |

More like when land rovers ACTUALLY went off-road and got dirt/mud on them. Now they rarely see any dirt, there mire like mini houses as they have as much in-built entertainment systems (mini tv/DVD, etc)

Good Friday night tv.
Actually playing video games sat next to friends.
No Facebook.
Everything was cheaper.
No such thing as "Hashtagging".
The music charts were a lot more varied (even if it was shit) |

As I was in secondary school when you were to write an essay about someone famous etc you used the school library.
Not like now, where you'd "google" it.
Being able to "dog"(miss/skip) a class and your parents were non the wiser, recently found out that parents are now given texts if there kid skips a class. So now you can't really skip school. |

I miss fuel being cheaper than a £1 a litre.
I miss cheap nights out, a night out to Liverpool including a £25 taxi fare home would give you quite a bit of change from £50 (it did help ending the night in the crazy house though). |
