Carnival week in our town this week. Ska band playing tonight and the UKs best Beatles tribute act on Tuesday. All free and during a week of glorious weather. I love where I live.

we have a music festival, food festival, comedy festival, a royal regatta and a festival of light.
just over the river torbay has shit loads of summer parties/carnivals and 'fair' weeks

Nothing grows there so there's no point in having a flower show, there's no sheep so can't have a shearing show, so they have an annual farting competition.

The SKA band was superb last night. Its so cool that our town can still afford to put these carnivals on. The tourists seem to love it as well. The town was packed, so it was great for local businesses  |
