Carnival week in our town this week. Ska band playing tonight and the UKs best Beatles tribute act on Tuesday. All free and during a week of glorious weather. I love where I live.

Does you town have carnivals?

Our town show was cancelled due to the recession last year. I've been going there since I was a child. Sad times

Cromer Carnival runs every year and is a big event.

Huge one here, all the basos come out.

There is even a capri rally, anyone that fancies ginger legs, should go.

I go for the rides and candy floss

Truro

Check out Kevin Bloody Wilson's song about life in a remote outback town.

Nothing grows there so there's no point in having a flower show, there's no sheep so can't have a shearing show, so they have an annual farting competition.

The song is called "Festival of Farts"

You'll probably find it on Youtube

The SKA band was superb last night. Its so cool that our town can still afford to put these carnivals on. The tourists seem to love it as well. The town was packed, so it was great for local businesses
