Do you ever look at ur ex's and think 'what the fuck was I thinking' ??
Mine was a monster and still is 7 years later, we share 3 beautiful kids and now a grand child, I'm in a new r/ship and engaged, he has had various gf's and still tries to control me and the kids  |

No I don't. I chose him. He wasn't forced upon me and at one point he was the person I loved with all my heart.

I have 1 ex that I'm a bit like that about, I wouldn;t stop to talk to her in the street because i have no interest in her life. But even then there is no real bitterness or acrimony - I certainly wouldn't wish misfortune on her. We all make choices and we have to live with the consequences of them. I'm on good terms with most of my ex's. I don't really want to live a life angry at the people I have shared it with.
That said i've never had kids, a mortgage or got married which I guess makes break ups a lot easier! |

I don't know, difficult one.
I loved them at some point but in both cases, I do wonder why I stayed for so long after they changed - One managed to get a hold of me and slowly chipped away at my confidence before becoming abusive, the other one just sort of closed himself off to the world after 3 years.
The 2nd one never forgave me for breaking up with him so there's no contact there but the first one got nastier after I got rid of him. Cut all contact when he continued trying to control me and put me down but that was easy as we had no financial/legal/family ties.
I prefer to look at them as learning curves if I'm honest.
