Do we have too many clothes ?

Jump to: Newest in thread

I've always read that we wear 20% of our clothes, 80% of the time. My wardrobes are full and I don't share my bedroom! Yet I always say I have nothing to wear !

Maybe if I was more minimalist, which I think men usually are, I'd find it easier to select an outfit.

And shoes is even worse ! Do we all have too much nowadays.

No I don't have to many clothes. A couple of years a go I sorted out and ended up taking 13 bin liners full to the charity shop some with labels still on so now I only buy what I'm going to get the wear out off

I have an adequate amount of certain things and a horrendous amount of others. My OH has so many shirts he could start a shop.

No I don't have too many of anything as it all gets worn eventually.

It's more a case of finding the right outfit for the right occasion, hence you need a wide selection. Guys have it easy if they are going out. 'Shall I wear a shirt, or a smart t-shirt?'

It's a lot more strategic for others. Dress or top and skirt? Have you been seen in this one recently? Does it match your boots and handbag? Does it show off your curves enough?

Tina's right you girls do have many more choices to make when getting dressed. But you all always look wonderful do it's worth the effort.

I took loads of clothes to the charity shop and binned some and I still have loads. Female influence that. Lol.

I've not got much of a bum, but wearing some body shaping panties with padding helps. It also ensures that if someone starts spanking me, I don't feel a thing

I tend to cycle my wardrobe round. Especially my work dresses of which I have more than 40. Some are winter ones others better for summer.

That way I'm often in something 'new'.

I buy far too many clothes, I have worn them at least once though. I hoard a lot of things but then you never know when you might need them. I adjust and alter clothes so I may cut lace off something and add that to a collar on another dress etc, or change buttons or add appliques etc, so I do need them all

Yes, I have too many clothes. 2 double wardrobes, a double chest of drawers and other clothes in the garage and on the floor!

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

OP, I think you have been reading the same reports as me.

Yes, I have too many clothes and I have failed myself and bought more this week.

I need to get rid of about 50% of my wardrobe but as soon as I get rid of any item I want to wear it again and go mad trying to find it.
