Nowt wrong with Bon Jovi !!!

Rarely can I listen to any album to the end but I would not skip too many with his.

Tend to like tracks from various rather than a whole album though.

Good stuff !

Add a few from skid row,van halen,darkness,whitesnake,w.a.s.p,boston,black sabbath, black stone cherry, kings of leon,"some ac/dc" and even a bit jacko and ya got a fairly good compilation !!

Theres lots more but theres a few

Really depends on the mood and what doing ... whatcha say ?????

Bon Jovi have become too watered down IMO.

AC/DC still have it though. And of course Motorhead.

Give me AC/DC, Motorhead, Metallica, even ZZ Top before you try and tell me that KISS are the rockingest band.

As soon as KISS put the makeup back on they become their own tribute act.

Or is it Daniel's tunes you're defending?

saw AC/DC as download on friday, have to say that even tho they was good i have kind of gone off them because of the demands they made, taking their own stage, no allowing any other bands to play while they was on, not allowing their name to appear on any of the download merchandise, little things like that kind of put me off a band, no matter how big they are, you start getting above your station and people will go off you for it

just my humble opinion lol

I saw AC/DC at the NEC before xmas ... not impressed really BUT I do think I was comparing them to the AC/DC I saw in 1981 at Brum Odeon which I'm sure was the last gig they played before Bon Scott died .. they've never sounded as good since

Check out Zebedy Rays on myspace .. just recorded a debut single at Abbey Rd and filmed a video with some guys who worked on Avatar .. gonna be huge, tons of energy and just that little bit different (live videos on youtube)

Never liked the stones but gotta respect their career ... seen some awesome (and crap) bands over the years

Nothing could ever beat Zeppelin at Knebworth, yes slightly past their best but still jaw dropping!

Green Day at a festival in Nottingham 6 yrs ago before they became big! lol!! .... so much energy

great memories of some of the old classic bands like bad Company, Rush, Lizzy, Sammy Hagar, UFO and Saxon although the list would go on and on and on!!!

saw led zep about 1970 at kinetic circus in b'ham and it was brilliant!,have seen robert plant quite a few times around kidderminster and he wil always stop to chat.

recent band that i seen a few times now and am most impressed with are "never the bride" led by nikki lamborn who is one of the best female rock vocalists around!,they include a few led zep covers in the set as well as original material.

at the severnside festival in bristol i was helping keyboard player catherine feeney set up her keyboards ready for tjhe roadies and ended up directing them on setting up the stage for the band!,lead guitarist murray gould later handed me an acoustic guitar backstage and i walked out with the band for the soundcheck!,briliant stuff!.

go check them out.

went to see him way back when they'd just made it in the UK charts.....was Jan 2nd gig....wembly.......fabby

One of the best gigs I've ever seen was embarrassingly Cliff Richard at an outdoor festival, again around 1988.....he was doing all his old rock n roll stuff....was fabby dancing in the field with 30,000 other music fans.......but don't worry....there's very little cliff stuff in my record collection

Yet really to find where the bands / gigs etc (locally ish) are round here in 12yrs of being here lol.

Any suggestions ??

Seen odd one that's been pretty good.

A good female vocal is always great in the rock world but fairly rare.....

Banging tunes out is ok at home but the atmosphere of live is good when out with a beer etc.

Have seen most of the Rock bands mentioned.

AC/DC 9 times with both front men. Love Johnners but Bon Scott was a different class.

Best live band at their peak was Lizzy. It wasn't a band playing before fans it was like being part of a gang. Nobody was better at controlling an audience than Philip and I include Freddie in that.

Also recommend David Lee Roth and bizarrely BB King. Oh and Prince...amazing.

Another band I saw a long time ago and with a different vocalist ... malvern winter gardens, 1980? Paul d'ianno was singing in the band then and still maintain they were a better band with him ..

I also remember that they were supported by a band from Sheffield who were all 15 & 16 yr olds at the time but ended up having a decent career!!
