nice ribeye, sealed in little olive oil then in oven for 5-8 mins depending on thickness, though oink that I am 24 ounces would be 4 meals!, that's probably because I love lots of vegetables too

For me, if steak (and I am not a big meat eater, it has to be a thick fillet steak, pink on the inside...

For him a Ribeye anytime.

For us both: We agree on Rumpsteak

Rumpsteak is the most flavoursome of all cuts

I remember a restaurant in Rudesheim am Rhein where the steak is served on a lava platter so you can continue cooking it to your taste, ohhhh bliss

I wonder if it is the one where they "flamber" the steaks with Asbach?

I have seen them do a steakout when they tackle anything from a 32oz to a 64oz monster. It didn't make pleasant watching though

Ah you speak our language..........we used to cremate the steaks until we had it medium rare once at a friends house, and we have only ever cooked it that way since. Yummy.

What I always found interesting ... when ordering a medium steak in France is a lot rarer than in the UK - so perception of what constitutes rare or well done varies a bit

But you can always ask for it to be cooked a little more

You cannot uncook a steak
