I think it's very much an individual choice. I saw a chap vaping in the front row of a comedy show the other week, but the Compere (a bit weak) didn't mine it for mirth or say anything. |

I always think people look like they're smoking Doctor Who's Sonic Screwdriver... finally irrefutable proof that smoking is not cool! |

I guess it depends on how distruptive the vaping/smoking is to the evening as to how id feel about it
I don't mind smokers but if the evening is spent constantly lighting up and going off for a fag then Id get bored with them very quickly |

"but what if they only use one of those vape things, would that make the difference between meeting or not meeting??"
I think the reality of this is that people who say no to it don't want someone smoking in there house or having a heavy smell on their clothes. |

Precisely.
I grew up in a smoking household (both parents) and so I choose to not meet smokers. Also hubby has asthma.
There's plenty of people who will meet smokers and plenty of people who don't smoke. If the person doesn't meet your preferences, move on |

I avoid meeting smokers as a rule, but meet someone who has given up but is still using a vape, and there is no taste or smell on him whatsoever, so I have no problem with it.
But medically speaking someone using e-cigs is still a nicotine user of course. |

Generally, we find that smokers don't taste as nice. We will meet considerate smokers, but the really need to go without for the whole meet. I would give it a go with "Vapers" and then see where experience takes us. |

but this is the reason for my question.
there is no smell on your clothes.
there is no "smoke" as such, it is vapour (steam)
they do not have to leave the house to keep lighting up, as there is no smell or contamination of the air others breath as i understand it, the steam just dissipates??? |
