erectile dysfunction

a friend of mine has been seeing a guy of 23. it turns out he has erectile dysfunction. surely at this age, a doctor would not prescribe viagra or any other form of aid?

i've suggested stress might a factor here, worrying about it only makes it worse? or being d*unk? but she tells me he's not a big drinker.

any tips would be most welcome.

A visit to the doctor?

Could be all sorts of reasons. Nerves. Alcohol. Sugar Diabetes. Soft drugs-cannabis is really bad for erections long-term. There is an epidemic of young (under 25) men in Scotland having to have penile implants because of it.

He's probably just nervous. If he can get an erection whilst asleep, it's not a physical issue. If he can't, then it is. She could try a prostatic massage that's how surgeons test it.

Instead of discussing it with all and sundry your friend should steer her young man in the direction of his GP!

"Instead of discussing it with all and sundry your friend should steer her young man in the direction of his GP!"

For the majority of young men with these kinds of problems just the thought of speaking to a doctor about it fills them with dread. You, being a woman, would have no idea about how sensitive and issue this is with young males and they would prefer to exhaust all other avenues of information before speaking to his GP.

If you then compound the problem by factoring in the sex of their GP, I'm not surprised many young men don't discuss their sex problems with their doctor, as a female doctor is a big no-no!, and a male doctor handling their private parts is an even bigger no-no! (Remember, many young men are not sexually liberated and are genuinely repulsed by the thought of male-to-male contact in case it infers some sort of sexuality shift, and if his mates ever found out that a male doctor handled his cock - he'd be ribbed about mercilessly, cos that what young pack males do)

Trust me on this, I'm a man.

It's a good job women aren't as shy - we have to just get on with it - smears, exams whilst pregnant etc etc - the best thing for the guy to do is get to the doctors - there is no way on earth that the correct diagnosis could be made in a forum! Oh, and does he know that his little problem is actually being discussed on an open forum in the first place! Z

luton

if it is nervousnes

the best thing for the couple to do is firstly not talk about it ( after agreeing to take the following strategy )

first of all they should not even consider ordianary penetrive sex

rather than that it should be understood that the man should pleasure the woman using oral toys fingers etc

she should also refrain from touching his penis

when she has orgasmed , she should make the point of telling him how much she enjoyed it ( without going overboard )

then the man should masturbate while he is sucking on her breasts ( for example )

this strategy achieves a number of things

firstly both he and her will associate the meeting with enjoyable sex , and be looking foward to the next time

he will not be worrying about not getting a hard on in 5 days time when they next meet

the day will surely come when as he is getting ready to jump into bed he realises he has a raging hard on , and nature will take its course

he should also bear in mind that it has happened to all men at sometime in there life , including VETERAN PORNSTARS

even if it is a medical problem , doing this will do no harm

Well being a man I'm sure he'll sort out what to do...seek professional help and get it sorted or fail to perform, frustrate his partner and have his shortcomings discussed on an open forum.

Easy peasy decision really, know which one I would choose, I could be mistaken but hey, I'm only a woman!

Lol, you don't know men so well! I think when everything is healthy, even if a man tossed me off, despite being straight I think I'd eventually get a hard on!
