I'm test driving a car tomorrow.
It's a nice car, though a bit on the high side in terms of mileage, with a terrific spec.
It's red which is putting me off and I don't know why. It looks good in red and it's a nice enough shade. I don't understand my reticence.
So, please give me your thoughts on red cars please. Do you like them or not? Would/do you have one? Why or why not? |

Mine's red and the only problem I have is if I'm being followed by a black car and the local rozzers are playing car snooker. I try to keep a low scoring car behind me if possible. |

I have heard that red cars attract more attention, including that of the Constabulary. I don't know if it's true. |

The right car can look awesome in red. Just be aware that red fades worse than any other colour and in time each body panel will be a different colour. Sometimes a good MOPing can help unless the paint is lacquered, in which case you're either stuck with it or it's a respray job. |

I have a red car, partly because my previous car was dark blue and a Spanish lorry wrote it off, on a dark rainy night, on the motorway. I deliberately went for red, as I decided it would be seen more easily. And I've had lots of comments on it, as it's a great shade of red. |

Every make of car has it's perfect colour (to me anyway). My dream cars are always a particular colour depending on the make. For instance my Austin Healey 3000 would be blue and white with a white leather interior.
What make of car are you test driving? |

I'm planning on going to look at a bright red one this week- although it's rather over priced so I might end up looking at an identical one in silver if they're not budging much on price |

"I understood that statistically red cars are involved in more accidents than any other coloured car ... (no mine is Silver) !!! "
That used to be case and mainly because there were more red cars on the road than any other colour.
In the UK (with numbers of vehicles taken into account) I think it's green now. |

Oh and I bought mine in the hope I was less likely to have an accident! "
All the research I've seen says black cars are involved in the highest proportion of accidents and white and yellow cars in the fewest. |

My sister had a yellow fiesta - she would have skewed that statistic!
