Integrated?

Get one with short washes on as there really is no need to do two hour washes as a normal wash is unless it's very heavy soiled work clothes. Much cheaper too

Titz Towers, North Notts

Try LG, mine is reliable and looks good, too.

Don't get a BEKO, as they are shite and forever acting up. Only get a SMEG if you want me to come round with a marker pen and write HEAD after it.

I don't know but I bet his name is Daz.

My gran used to have a mangle. ..It was brilliant watching this little lady battling with the thing yet strangely satisfying seeing the water crushed out of the starched white bed sheets.

I tend to stick with Hotpoint because in 25 years I've only had 3.

I now have a Hotpoint Aqualtis, mainly bought because of its funky look and flashing lights. I also like the fact it has an 11kg drum so I can wash duvets.

It has lots of features, most of which I've never used but I love the look of it, so that's my first priority, secondly I look at price, if something is really cheap it won't last, its false economy

I buy second hand for the same reason but also because I couldn't afford brand new any more

A new one in a year or two? Nope. According to the Consumer Goods Act washing machines are white goods and covered, by law, for six years. If it breaks down in that time the seller (NOT the manufacturer) is legally liable and must repair or replace.

That is why I never pay for any warranty or 'service protection' etc. The law protects me. I don't need to spend money on what I'm freely entitled to.

I also ignore all those bullshit claims of 3year warranties. It's meaningless and they are offering you nothing. I certainly wouldn't pay for one as part of the price - total scam.

I've got a Miele. Payed a small fortune for it. Never had any issues with it and still got 2 years of the 10 year warranty left
