Mind you for the oldies on here intro to Lips & Hips by the Electric Boys is a catchy one too.

John Petrucci is an animal! I'm currently working my way through The Best Of Times solo. It starts off easy then gets ridiculously hard then back to easy again, there's also a hidden modal shift which caught me by surprise too. |

Slash's solo in november rain, knophler in sultons near the end of the track, claptons layla, bits of voodoo chile, endless. Just shit on radio now. Speaks volumes when ya work with an 18 year old lad that will only listen to absolute 80's n 90's ! |

Although I find it really cheesy now, THE song that made me realise that I only really like guitar music (and that consequently shaped the person I am, the clothes I wear, the places I like to go, and the people I've met) was 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' |

Which was a (done on purpose) straight lift of 'More than a Feeling' anyway!
And the riff from 'Sweet Child of Mine' is a bit too close to 'Xanadu' by Rush to be a coincidence too. |
