Ive about had enough now. I just took the cat dishes off the floor after only feeding them 10mins ago and 1 of them had flies laying eggs in it!!! Eweee driving me mad. All my new window stickers are covered and I'm sick of the smell of the spray lol |

flying ants in the garden yesterday - green fly today - the air flow or whatver means i have two or three house flies hovering round the middle of the room most of the time - my fault i choose to have every window open - cant stand the cooped up feeling |

Lavender oil or citronella oil will deter flies.
Put a bowl or glass of water in the room you want to keep them out of and drip some essential oil on the top of the water. As it evaporates it will carry the oil with it. Just put it out of reach of pets so they don't try to drink it. |

if you have a spare spray bottle you can put it in water, shake ans spray the walls/doorway. |

that's what i do. I got it mixed in a spray bottle. I think it smells of wee tho lol |

i keep seeing that people fill a freezer bag (or similar) with water, put a couple of coins in it, tie it and hang it outside doors and windows to stop flies coming in. I googled it, and apparently the sunlight hitting the coins in the water causes reflections that scares the flies off. or something.
Then again, could be a waste of time - not tried it myself |
