Two weeks ago we got new phones and changed contracts from Orange to EE.
One week in and I am getting content blocked intermittentally.
If I go from Google Chrome to Google I get around it sometimes.
If I follow the instructions I get "your phone is not blocked " when it patently is.
If I go onto their site I am told they are experiencing technical difficulties.
Then it allows access again, for a couple of days.
I understand the under eighteen thing, but two weeks ago I went through all the rigmarole of credit checks and address checks and identity checks,it took each phone an hour.
Two weeks later I loose thirty years
Arghhhhhhh.
Any one else have this problem?
I think I will be paying a visit to the EE shop for a rant. |

There have been posts about this before. It is an intermittent problem with EE you won't get any help from the store and if you call EE you will just get told they are aware of the problem. I've had it for over 12 months |

"Arrrghhh the muhta fuckers.
You still in your 14 day cooling off period?"
Probably not.
We had the same trouble with Orange, but a phone call sorted it out.
These buggers are impossible to get hold of.
Under eighteen my arse, Christ!, there were no mobile phones around when we were eighteen!!!. |

Contact them directly from your phone be patient and make sure you talk to someone directly who can see the problem and sort it. Legislation is tightening up on under 18 content access not the phone companies. |

1st, all I get is automated message that either checks to if my phone is indeed blocked or tells me to try again as they are experiencing technical difficulties.
2nd, we were there in the shop, I do not even to the most myopic of sales staff look under eighteen, I had identity, credit and address checks,,, what more do I have to do to prove I am over eighteen??????.
All of my kids are in their twenties..
Stupid knee jerk reaction policy as per normal over anything sexual. |

"Happens intermittently.
Just come out of the app your using for the internet, shut it down, phone on and off then you'll be ok. "
Thanks, will try that. |

The shops are useless in my opinion sales only and with the automated services if you have to go to the "I want to leave" option where you can at least talk to someone they will often put you through to the right dept. |

It's not just sexual websites it's betting websites and anything with an eighteen content. It's a problem with their system. It just blocks randomly and they don't know who's account it is. Phone on and off and it should be sorted. |

Orange/EE have permanent technical issues. I haven't been able to log in to my online account for months - and they cant fix it.
Mostly its due to the transition to EE, they say. I am still on Orange and get nothing blocked. Thankfully. Just glad it works. Interacting with Orange/EE is beyond painful - shop, phone, whatever.
Mine works, but I could not recommend them. |

I get the same issues. Clearing my browser history and cache on the phone sometimes solves it. Oddly, sometimes switching off 4G and just using 3G fixes it as well. It's frustrating though. I called EE and was assured they had done everything to switch off content lock but it still happens from time to time. |

The issue is not with the content block as such, it's with the networks inability to identify your handset.
Even accessing your account app can be impossible sometimes. |

Yep - this is the issue. If it doesn't know your content block is off it defaults to blocking. |
