Do you ladies feel comfortable drinking in pubs on your own?
I spend a lot of time on my own due to work commitments but enjoy a drink and social chit chat. I am happy to frequent most local pubs on my own but do get a fair amount of funny looks and people asking me whether I am happy in my relationship or not. I'm not sure if I was male I would have the same questions from people and it would just be accepted. I'm not 'from round here' so have very few friends.
I'm no burn your bra type of girl, but do we still live in a society where a thirty plus (and a bit more plus) lady without children is considered to have loose morals because she goes out on her own?? |

I often sit in a pub and have lunch when doing some retail therapy, it's never bothered me going into a pub on my own or propping up the bar, it was frowned on years ago if I recall. |
