I was just doing my ironing, when the Landlord knocked on my door asking to come in and insect the property. I know legally they have to give 24 hours notice, but what could I say? he was right there. Anyway he started looking around the place when I suddenly remembered. Quite a large section of my wardrobe is for all my sex toys, and kinky things. It isn't that I have a huge amount of toys, I just kept all the boxes for them. Plus there's the other things like lubricants, lingerie, and so on. In a blind panic I threw everything into a bag, and told the landlord I had to head into town and would e mind being quick? well, he didn't mind, and offered me a lift. So, here I am in a coffee shop in London, with a bag full of sex toys.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? |

If I were you, I'd buy a small bit of furniture - a chest, ottoman or opaque plastic crate etc ,put a lock on it and store your "private" stuff in there. |

yep, was knock on my flat door, so person had to use landlord key to enter common area, guy said he "was now the agent for all the landlords properties", gave me a spurious excuse for knocking on my door.
I looked over my specs at him, said if you are a letting agent I fully expect you know all tenancy regulations.
In case you don't please look up "Right to quiet enjoyment"
I closed the door on him, 'phoned landlord and said " who the hell just used your key to enter property & knock on my door? you haven't written to me and informed me you have an agent, I pay rent direct to you & you do repairs, without an agent involvement in my 7 years here.
I told him to check the law, make sure I am officially informed you now have an agent or tell him to f**k right off"!
End of.
Saw landlord next day as was informed that " the agent had made a mistake & would never knock on my door again", told him that if he made same mistake again I would inform council and call police and have him removed from premises for harassment ( if the police would do that )
saw the "agent" 2 days later, he said " I am the agent for x's properties"...I smiled, shook my head and muttered wanker as I walked off.
p.s I had handcuffs on display in bedroom as was ready for a meet! lol |

Why would any landlord inspect your possessions?
That is not his or any part of his property.
Amusing your now out in london with all your toys when actually the landlord would not have looked in your wardrobe anyway lol |

We recently used a couple if my favourites my rabbit and a very large, realistic dildo. Having given them a good wash and spray with antibacterial toy cleaner I left them in a prominent position in the bedroom to air dry. Our daughter and her boyfriend popped in and after a but of a chat headed upstairs.........you have never seen me move so fast |

"Surely an inspection of the property doesnt include looking in the wardrobe "
This !
We had a rented place once and one time a letter didn't turn up saying they were coming and we were not in....my toys were out on the dresser at the time. |
