I don't think ours has a particular style, we like light and strong colours and rarely buy brand new. Someone else would probably be better placed to comment

My style

Just full of stuff I like, cherish and some totally random items that somehow fit together and makes it the perfect decor for me to relax and be happy in, if this makes sense.

Tv room is Hi Tech but comfortably stylish. Bedroom is cottagey, shabby chic. Kitchen is cottagey.

I love my house. It's just me.

Most of my house is pretty neutral but I'm really tempted to decorate my bedroom with Marvel wallpaper (Iron Man, Thor, The Hulk etc) and posters.

Random. I've moved too many times in the past few years so things have been moved around, added and disposed of. It's a mishmash with no theme.

Aloe vera. They're virtually impossible to kill.

They do, however, produce baby aloe vera at a rate of knots and try to take over the world.

I wouldn't enjoy living in space that was basically a tribute to the past,,,,

My preference is for contemporary design even when its in a period setting....

I manage to kill everything except aloe vera! I'm not sure plants have themes though. They go with anything, don't they?

Head to a garden centre and ask advice about what's easy to care for and see what appeals to you.

Same here. I'm about to try to give a load of baby aloe vera away. I can't bear to throw the pups away, which is what my dad thinks I should do.

He refers to them as "those bloody things"

"Most of my house is pretty neutral but I'm really tempted to decorate my bedroom with Marvel wallpaper (Iron Man, Thor, The Hulk etc) and posters."

Get yourself down B&Q, they have some really neat Art Deco styled Marvel posters in at the moment(just added a pic with one in to my profile).

Anyways my place (which I've only just moved into ) is very much white walls & dove grey carpets to to bottom.

The living room (which is a dual aspect through room as I live in what was called in 1925 a "sunshine semi" )has a few hints of red accents from wall art & cushions.

My bedroom is just that a bedroom with a grey leather bed with built in TV & a bedside table (still looking for some wall art)

The second double is my walk in wardrobe/laundry room.

The box room has a guest bed and a B&W triptych of a New York skyline.

That's where I got the inspiration from. I was also in my local B&M yesterday and they have exactly the same posters/canvases and wallpaper for half the price of B&Q. So it pretty much made my mind up for me!

I killed an aloe vera.

We brought it all the way from lanzarote as a reminder of our first holiday together. It lasted less than a year before it died. Great excuse for another trip...

Mine's eclectic. I houseshare but we have similar tastes. Bedroom wise I have inherited a lot of Victorian dark furniture so keep the accessories light. My kitchen is big, bright and airy with a barstool island and racks of CDs and vinyl down the dining room end and my downstairs loo is covered in 1950's sci-fi B movie posters.

The majority of the house is cream walls, light furniture, very bright and airy, very minimalist. My kitchen has a cream stone floor, light oak cabinets,.black granite worktops. and cream tiles, my bathroom is clinical white, even the floor colouring. My bedroom has pastel colours, the furniture is painted lemon and pale green, my bedding is always pale colours, my blinds are cream, all the curtains in the house are cream.

My house is a complete contrast to the clothes I wear, white tend to be vibrant colours

Mine is plain and simple. Just like me. Don't really like too many things hanging on the wall apart from the clock. Got a dining table, tea table and two leather sofas...

...and plants in the corners. Do have a showcase kind of thing to put all my flashy plates and glasses in.

That's about it really. Nothing exciting.

Same for my room. Plain light chocolate walls, a book shelf with all my law books, a bed and wardrobe.
